Tony Comley is among other things an animator. He has made buildings gurgle for the Barbican, etchings cry for BBC2 and cardboard council flats explode for Warp Records. He recently won a British Animation Award for aforementioned etchings and taught animation to children on behalf of the TATE and Aardman Animation.

Rebecca Manley is based in London. She works as an animator, designer, model-maker, director, on various different film and television projects. As an animation director, she is represented by Slinky Pictures.

Luca Paulli was born in Italy. He has a degree in Italian literature and is a graduate of the London School of Animation at Central Saint Martins. His work includes a variety of techniques and animation allowing him to work with many directors on commercials and short films.

Matthew Walker is a writer, director and animator based in Bristol. In 2005 he graduated from the University of Wales, Newport where he made his award winning film Astronauts. He recently completed a short film for Channel 4 called John and Karen before making Operator as part of the Animator in Residence scheme. Matthew now makes up one 6th of Arthur Cox Ltd and is also a director for Aardman.

Flighty (2006)

Leigh’s award winning work ranges from directing, designing and animating for broadcast to directing her own short films. Some of Leigh’s most notable TV projects include her role as contributing Director on the Children’s BBC Newsround special ‘The Wrong Trainers’ highlighting UK child poverty. Leigh also art directed the first series of Tiger Aspects utterly charming ‘Charlie and Lola’ series. More recently, Leigh designed and directed the mouse sketches in the first series of Channel 4’s cult comedy ‘Fonejacker’.

Her last four films – Flighty, Stalk, Moo(n) and Novelty, garnered critical acclaim from award giving bodies such as British Animation Awards to festivals including Sundance, ResFest and Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Leigh studied Animation Direction at the National Film and Television School and is a director at Slinky Pictures. In addition to her animation work, she writes and illustrates children’s picture books which have been translated and published around the world. Her third book ‘Smile’ is out this year.
